m1: I most often use the backward loop cast on to make one:

E.L.K. m1E.L.K. m1 2E.L.K. m1 3

 

dcd: double-centered decrease. RS: slip 2 sts tog as if to k, k1, pass the 2 slipped sts over. WS: with yarn in front, (slip next st as if to k) twice. Slip both sts back to left-hand needle by inserting needle from  right-hand side. p3 together. 2 sts dec’d.
